Tavola rotonda online
Venerdì 13 gennaio 2023 dalle ore 16:00 è in programma la tavola rotonda online “Laminar productions in pre-up mis 3 contexts”, organizzata da Jacopo Gennai, Davide Delpiano, Marco Peresani, nell’ambito dell’INeal Cost Action initiatives.
La tavola rotonda si terrà su piattaforma Teams ed è aperta a studenti e ricercatori interessati.

Le produzioni litiche laminari appaiono in Eurasia occidentale sin dall’inizio del Paleolitico Medio. Ciò nonostante è durante lo stadio isotopico 3 che lame e schegge laminari diventano comuni in vari tecno-complessi. Alcuni di questi sono attribuiti ai primi Homo sapiens europei e all’Initial Upper Palaeolithic, altre agli ultimi Neandertaliani. Dal momento che l’arrivo di Homo sapiens in Europa è stato recentemente retrodatato, si impone un nuovo confronto tra i comportamenti tecnologici delle due specie umane per capire meglio dinamiche di dispersione, cambiamenti culturali e possibili interazioni.
La tavola rotonda è dedicata a questo argomento, in particolare incoraggiando lo scambio scientifico tra ricercatori internazionali.

Elongated lithic productions appear in Western Eurasia since the early phases of Middle Palaeolithic. However, it is in the MIS 3 that blades and elongated flakes became more common and widespread into diverse cultural techno-complexes. Some of these productions have been associated to the earliest occurrence of Homo Sapiens in Europe and the Initial Upper Palaeolithic; nonetheless, elongated lithic productions are also associated with Late Neanderthals. Considering the recently backdated arrival of Homo Sapiens in Western Europe, a focus and a new comparison between Late Neanderthals and early Sapiens’ technology is pivotal to understand dispersal dynamics, cultural shifts, and possible interactions.
The roundtable addresses this topic fostering exchange between international researchers.
